Things To Avoid

Google Adsense has the unique capacity to generate a lot of revenue for your website or blog and this is a fact which cannot be refuted by anyone around the world. There are many different ways in which you can make use of Google Adsense. The algorithm of Google has been programmed to function in such a manner that only those advertisements which are relevant to the content which is present on your website or blog will be used. This will also increase the probability of people clicking on these advertisements and this will help in generating a lot of income for the owner of the website. But there are certain things, which need to be avoided in order to make optimum use of Google Adsense.

Providing false personal information – This is a very serious violation of the rules and regulations, which have been laid down by Google. Your account can either be blocked or deleted on a permanent basis and you might have to forego the revenue, which you have already generated. You could also face some questions from the tax authorities die to this.

Display of advertisements on certain pages – The sign-up page, the confirmation page as well as the “thank you” page should not contain any kind of advertisements from Google Adsense. This will be a violation of the terms and conditions, which have been specified by Google.

Display of competitor advertisements on the same page as Adsense – This is not something, which needs to be specified. The owner of the website or the blog is free to select the advertisements which need to be displayed. But it makes more sense not to display the advertisements of competitors on the same page as the advertisements from Google Adsense.

Payment or incentives for clicks – There are many websites and blogs which are ready to pay people money in order to click on the advertisements which have been displayed on their website or blog. But this is not a practice, which has been approved by Google. If Google is aware of any such practices being followed with relationship to any advertisements from Google Adsense, then there is a very high probability of the website either being blocked or banned.

Misguiding visitors – The text that is surrounding the advertisements should not give the wrong idea to the people who are viewing them and reading them. According to the terms of service, which have been stated by Google, the only texts, which can be present around the advertisements, are sponsored links or advertisements.

Clicking your own advertisements – There are many webmasters and bloggers who keep clicking on the advertisements, which are present on their own websites or blogs. Google is always watching them and such acts are considered as a serious breach of all the rules and regulations, which have been laid out by Google.
